Tropiques Atrium

The EPCC Atrium Tropiques is a newly established cultural body, resulting from the merger of CMAC and the County Administration in Martinique. The organisation plays a significant role in the cultural life of Martinique, working across the broadcast of live performances, the promotion of visual arts and cinema, and the development of production and training initiatives. Led by Hassane Kassi Kouyate, its aim is to create partnerships with local, Caribbean, national and international organizations, to share in the expression of cultural identity from Martinique and the world over. Steve Zebina, head of Cinema Activities, coordinates Martinique’s involvement in Cinéma, cent ans de jeunesse, which they have been a part of since 2012.

Most educational activity takes the form of programming for schools, developed in association with teachers.  Programming for young audiences allows children and teens access to a diverse range of work, including screenings specifically targeted at young audiences; film club programming; schools’ workshops; extracurricular workshops and teacher training amongst other projects.
